Most people think going on a strict diet, becoming gluten-intolerant, or simply avoiding “sinful” food mean saying goodbye to indulgent meals. Breakfast is usually known for indulgent comfort food like pancakes, bread, and muffins, but thanks to these hacks, you don’t have to give yummy breakfasts up! Try our guilt-free recipes that are seriously easy to follow, gluten-free, and won’t break your diet at all.

Gluten-free Pancakes

  • 2 bananas
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (feel free to substitute for soy, non-fat, or even coconut milk)
  • 1-2 tbsp chia seeds or flax seeds (optional)
  • a pinch of cinnamon

  1. Mash bananas, and combine with three beaten eggs.
  2. Add milk, chia seeds, and cinnamon.
  3. Use a non-stick pan and wait until
  4. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into a non-stick pan.
  5. Flip the pancake when you see bubbles forming in the batter and cook the other side.
  6. Serve with coconut sugar, coconut syrup, agave nectar, nut butter, or sugar-free jams.

Healthy Breakfast Muffins

  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (red, yellow, green, or orange)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup chopped, cooked bacon, ham, or sausages
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 handful spinach
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • *play with ingredients—mushrooms, feta cheese, and broccoli also go great in these muffins
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. Beat eggs in a bowl and add all the chopped ingredients except cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grease a 12-muffin pan with oil, or line with muffin cups.
  4. Pour egg and veggie mixture into pan and top with cheese.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes or until the tops are firm.
  6. Enjoy!
