I knew people would start asking about this after I read it on Shean’s blog. I call it the “VVA Concoction”… composed of Virgin Coconut Oil (cold fermentation process), Versatile Coconut Vinegar (properly-aged and fermented), and Amazing Pure Honey

Virgin Coconut Oil
Never before in the history of man is it so important to emphasize the value of Lauric Acid. The medium-chain fatty acid in coconut oil which are similar to fats in mother’s milk and have similar nutraceutical effects. These health effects were recognized centuries ago in Ayurvedic medicine. Ayurvedic (knowledge of life) medicine is based on the teaching of the Veda, the oldest (circa 1500 BC) scripture of Hinduism. The knowledge of the aborigines of Nicobar Islands and the tribal population of other parts of India on the medicinal application of coconut palm products is extensive. They depended on these products for treating numerous ailments. Even a transient account of ancient therapeutic applications of coconut palm products would be too extensive for this review. Consequently, only a brief accounting will be given on the historical use of coconut oil as a medicine whose benefits results from its content of medium-chain fatty acids.

According to the Ayurvedic classics, coconut oil nourishes the body and increases energy. The oil was also valued for its antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal properties. The use of the oil medicated with herbs is widespread among the people of India. Different preparations of coconut oil promote luxurious hair growth and protect the skin from bacterial, protozoal, and viral infections. Fresh lauric oil is wholesome to heart and relieves skin troubles.

Vinegar is citric acid. I have been captivated by citric acid since I found out about it, and began to drink and promote it. It is natural, because citric acid is the origin of life. Citric acid eliminates fatigue, normalizes body fluids, and reinforces the power of spontaneous healing. Vinegar which is a great source of citric acid is naturally made and contains no artificial additives. Probiotics are the good bacteria in our gut which are essential for good health as they keep the intestinal function healthy, they assist in the digestion of necessary nutrients making them more absorbable, they keep the immune system strong and help prevent disease causing bacteria which if build up, would lead to a large number of autoimmune diseases. It is therefore necessary to feed our probiotics with naturally fermented foods such as natural coconut vinegar.

Amazing Honey
The frequent Biblical references to milk and honey demonstrate the importance of these two oldest aliments. Neither, however, is a complete food nor a proper nutriment alone for a long period of time. They are of course effective only to supplement deficiencies of other food substances.

HONEY, a most assimilable carbohydrate compound, is a singularly acceptable, practical and most effective aliment to generate heat, create and replace energy, and furthermore, to form certain tissues. Honey, besides, supplies the organism with substances for the formation of enzymes and other biological ferments to promote oxidation. It has distinct germicidal properties and in this respect is greatly compatible with milk… I mean coco milk, which is the source of VCO. Honey is a most valuable food, which today is not sufficiently appreciated. Its frequent if not daily use is vitally important.

I’ve been taking this concoction for the past 4 years, and been strongly recommending it to family and friends with various health issues — it is the best I’ve found so far.
