Food for Thought: A Healthy Lifestyle Ain’t What It Used to Be!

From isshogenki.com, Natural Practitioner Robyn Carrington talks about cellular health and Squalene.

When I was a child it was not common for Mothers to work outside the Home. It was their serious responsibility and pride to keep the family home running smoothly.  As children from a typical middle class environment my sisters and I had an abundance of fresh fruit – some of which was grown on our own trees and vegetables from our own garden.  Pesticides were not used and the volcanic soil was naturally rich with nutrients.  Meals were conscientiously prepared from this bounty fresh from the garden so if we ate what was served we could not help but be healthy.

However although wholesome, our meals were traditional to our heritage with little imagination outside a serving of meat – either boiled, baked or bashed accompanied by three vegetables – also boiled, baked or bashed.  Cakes, biscuits, puddings & porridge were all cooked either on, or in, the Moffat oven – without preservatives, seeds propagating naturally from the bottom of the compost bin and fertilising meant letting the chooks run free to scratch and poop over the garden.  It was not until my teenage years that International flair influenced our table and we got to chew finely sliced uncooked vegetables called “coleslaw” and drown our meat in unfamiliar sauces & liquids & called it a casserole instead of a “stew.”

My lengthy description from point A to B is – not much could go wrong – our bodies received nutrition at it’s best and exercise was thrown in for good measure.

Compare this with typically modern diets – everything we eat is either, genetically modified, sprayed, washed, soaked and dried, stored or injected.  A large percentage of our food is “lifeless.”  To add to our body’s confusion, most of these actions are done with a chemical cocktail foreign to the recipe that was intended by our designer, to keep us ticking.

So, where do all these chemicals end up? In our cells!  Is it any wonder our cells rebel, become cancerous, shrivel up, prematurely age or just give up the journey – you try swimming in a lake doused with chemicals and emerge with a smile on your face!

Is there an answer? Many are taking the initiative and conscientiously scrutinising labels and purchasing Organic vegetables and meat – this is a courageous start, only impeded by demand being greater than supply, cost often being beyond the purse and time not always in the equation.  To add to the distress, we still breathe polluted air and our lifestyles are ones of “stuff and run!”  Stress and over commitment are our two constant companions who follow us everywhere – even when we think we are relaxing or sleeping.

The quotation: “healthy cells, healthy body” should be inscribed on our forehead!  To achieve this is not as complicated as it seems – we just need simplicity in our diet, strive for living food not dead bulk and we need to feed our body from the cellular level.  A body full of healthy cells means a strong immune system, slowing the aging process, assisting the functionality of our organs, encouraging oxygen throughout our body.  Rather like a lot of young limbs running free in the fresh air of an unpolluted beach in comparison to the stagnant air & billowing black smoke of an underground tube station!

At birth our bodies contained natural human Squalene to enable us to support our cells throughout a healthy lifetime. Equate to the ration of a bottle of water prior to a trek over the dessert – yet many of us claim no knowledge of Squalene.   It is abundant in babies skin [hence the saying “like the skin of a babies bottom!”] Squalene is also found in Olives, which is why a diet heavy in Olives is considered anti-cancer.  Today’s diets and lifestyles deplete this natural Squalene and do nothing to replenish this vital ingredient. By supplementing your diet daily with a regular intake of high quality pure Squalene will feed your cells, increase oxygen, build a strong immune system, aid digestion and empower antiaging.  Issho Genki Squalene iP6 is a pure and natural source of quality Squalene that can be taken internally by young and old.  Just take 2 – 3 caps first thing every day – now that’s not so hard is it?
